About GARDENING ON COUNTRY
I was born in Bairnsdale, Victoria, on Gunaikurnai Country, and am a proud descendant of the Yuin people from the South-East Coast of New South Wales. My connection to Country has shaped how I view the environment—not as something to use, but something to care for and protect.
Founded in 2023, Gardening on Country was created to support a circular economy by turning recycled plastic into practical, durable gardening products. The idea was sparked during a family photoshoot at the beach, where seeing plastic waste scattered across the sand raised a powerful question: what if this plastic could be given a second life?
Today, Gardening on Country diverts plastic from landfill and waterways, transforming waste into useful tools that honour Country and help protect it for future generations.
